As artists, we are one of the most misunderstood individuals on the face of this earth. Professionals all around us have or have had difficulties with us one way or another. As artists our expectations, appreciations and respect usually outlives what we usually gain in return.
On Monday night, July 23rd at Yonge Dundas Square - we will have the chance to express ourselves, be understood and unite with professionals who been searching the meaning of 'us', the designer, the developer, the photographer, the illustrator. The emotion behind the work, the philosophy and the reasoning to call ourselves who we truely are. It is also an opportunity to understand and gain a level of expression from the other side, the entreprenuerial, the business minded individual who just wants it done, the blacks and the whites, the ones and the zeros.
The discussion Emotional Design is a joint collaboration between Design Guild of Toronto and with our former group Toronto Graphic Design, now known as The Toronto Graphic Design Entrepreneur Group.
Six Months ago our group was formed after an emotional outbreak. Members from the previous group rallied for a voice. Meetups of all types kept a close eye on us. Monday, July 23rd celebrates our 6 month anniversary for not only our independence but the forming of hands from this day forward. One voice - two groups.
