FREELANCE WEB DEVELOPER

Banana Creative, a small design firm in Walnut Creek, CA is seeking a highly-skilled, web developer freelancer (no agencies), preferably located in the East Bay.

Ideal Candidate
Can transform any given layered Photoshop design into a fully-functional website, write clean and legible code, possesses a strong attention to detail (to the pixel), and can work independently without supervision while meeting deadlines. Must be willing to meet with Client(s) (usually located in Contra Costa County) at least once throughout the duration of the project. Experience with web/graphic design a plus.

Job Requirements
* At least 3-4 years of experience in front-end web development
* Superior knowledge of HTML/XHTML, CSS, Javascript, DHTML
* Can build a site primarily using HTML/CSS and knows when it's necessary to use tables
* Able to write clean, legible code that functions across all of the top browsers and is SEO-friendly
* Proven proficiency with Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator
* Able to juggle multiple projects and can meet deadlines without supervision
* Excellent communication skills and professional demeanor
* Strong technical skills, a creative sensibility and attention to detail

Big Pluses:
* Web/Graphic Design experience
* Proficiency with Flash, MySQL, JSP, PHP, Ruby and/or AJAX
* E-commerce experience
