I was just on their web site doing some research and noticed Gymboree has a Assistant Textile / Graphic Designer job opening in San Francisco. Here's the details:

Position : Assistant Textile / Graphic Designer
Job Type : Full-time
Location : San Francisco
Core Roles :

The Assistant Textile/Graphic Designer will be responsible for producing millsheets for textiles as well as creating colorways and repeats. This person will also be responsible for technical instructions for factories/vendors to produce fabric prints. The Assistant Designer will produce the millsheets for graphics as well as the technical instructions for factories/vendors to produce artworks. This person will make changes to prints and artwork and prepare legal copyright paperwork. There will be an opportunity to create derivative artwork/prints (use illustrations from existing prints) based on candidates creative abilities. There is also the possibility to clean vintage or purchased prints based on candidates technical skills. The Assitant Designer will report to the Senior Textile Graphic Designer for training, workflow, and status updates.

Minimum Requirements :

2 or 4 year degree in Textile/Graphic Design, Fashion Design, Art or related fields. Industry experience is a plus. Strong interest in graphic/textile design. Good knowledge of MAC graphics applications Photoshop and Freehand /Illustrator (knowledge of AVL a plus) and ability to learn other software quickly. Very detail-oriented with good attention to detail. Must have good communication skills and must be deadline-oriented. Must have ability to work well under pressure with tight deadlines. Must be very motivated and open to direction.

UI Designer/developer

We are seeking a contract creative designer who has a user
perspective. Applicant must be a good designer and an excellent
XHTML/CSS developer.

Required skills:
  • Must be an expert Photoshop user.
  • Must be able to write clean, standards-compliant XHTML/CSS
    (code view, not design view).
  • Understands the process of both Web production and
    Multimedia production.
  • Visual and UI Design skills for corporate and consumer
    web/multimedia projects.
  • Enjoys a fast-paced work environment.
  • Excellent writing/communication skills.
  • Knowledge of commercial internet/web tools and protocols.
  • Ability to manage complex issues where analysis of
    situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable

  • Proficient in the following applications/OS's
    - Photoshop (CS/CS2)

    graphics, icons, color schemes, content and infrastructure for new
    product release and new web-hosted product offering.
  • Perform web usability testing.
  • Provide technical assistance to Site Administrators.


This is a contract position (corp to corp or 1099) through December
(at least). This IS a technical position (ie not just design work)
and must have XHMTL and CSS coding skills.

Looking for web skills in exchange for offset printing

Does anyone have an interest to barter your web skills in exchange for 1 to 4 color offset printing?

I will provide a MS Word file for content, and layered photoshop files for the layout of each page. I need help with the production, coding and just giving the site life. I'm looking for someone to help with a 5 page web site to include:

2. About
3. Services
4. Contact - with Inquiry form
5. File Upload
