Now you can connect, share, and learn as a member of the newly formed Greater Baltimore InDesign User Group! Come join us for our inaugural meeting on October 6, 2009, held in Parsons Auditorium at the Applied Physics Laboratory (APL) in Laurel. Registration will be held before the meeting inside the APL Lobby 1 entrance, right next to the visitor parking on APL Drive.

The featured speaker, Noha M. Edell, Solutions Engineer for Adobe Systems Inc., will present an hour of new features in InDesign CS4. You can enter our raffle for a chance to win some great merchandise from our corporate sponsors. The group is not for profit, so all raffle proceeds go toward continuing and enhancing our IDUG-Greater Baltimore chapter. Refreshments will be served before the meeting. We hope you can join us!

Magda Saina, our Greater Baltimore chapter representative, will express the vision for the group (to connect, share, and learn) and solicit suggestions from our members.

7:10–7:30 pm: Shorts

Share your Shorts! Watch as other group members show off their InDesign success stories in a brief, fun presentation containing no more than 20 images and lasting no more than 5 minutes.

7:30–8:25 pm: New Features in InDesign CS4

Thank you for posting this on Meetup and sorry you missed our inaugural meeting!

I am the the rep for Greater Baltimore IDUG and founding member. I am currently planning our next meeting and am looking at January 19, 2010, barring in weather issues. The time and place will be the same as the last meeting. Be sure to check our site. If we do have inclement weather, we will have a e-seminar! We will post all the details for you to be able to participate via Web. The subject we are currently considering is how InDesign CS4 exports to Dreamweaver and Flash.

Magda, you're welcome and I hope I can make the next meeting. That topic really interests me. If I get a job in DC, I might be moving sooner than that, but we'll see what happens! Thanks for getting this IDUG going! Been living here 3 years wishing for it so I hope I can attend some before I move!
